What is CC332G?

CC332G (CuAl10Ni3Fe2-C, equivalent to C95400 and ZCuAl10Fe3Mn2) is a nickel-modified cast aluminum bronze in the C90000–C95999 family, with nickel raising strength and erosion resistance over plain aluminum bronze. Castings give 570 MPa tensile, 250 MPa yield, 20 % elongation and 120 HB, with service to 300 °C, which suits pumps and valves handling seawater and abrasive slurries. Available as castings only; heat-treated (HT) condition is on file. It machines slowly with abrasive, continuous chips, and for the most severe cavitation duty CC333G nickel-aluminum bronze is the next step. CC332G has a density of 7.5 g/cm³ (0.271 lb/in³), lighter than 98% of copper alloy grades. It melts at 1,040°C (1,904 °F). Working with CC332G

Is CC332G easy to machine?

Machines like a tough duplex bronze: rigid setup, positive-rake carbide, 60–120 m/min, moderate feed and generous coolant; chips are continuous and abrasive on tooling.

Can CC332G be welded?

Readily GTAW/GMAW welded with matching CuAl10Ni or CuAl9Ni5 filler, preheat 150–250 °C for heavy sections; keep interpass low and avoid slow cooling through 550–450 °C to limit γ2 formation.

Can CC332G be formed, bent or molded?

Foundry alloy only — bottom/tangential gating with generous filtration to trap alumina films; feed with chills, no meaningful cold forming, hot working only 800–900 °C.
