Built for the teams
that actually ship hardware.

FabDigit is purpose-built for the engineering teams behind aerospace, medical, robotics, EV, industrial automation, defense, consumer hardware, and university research. Below: the industries we serve, and a few early case stories with real metrics.

FabDigit is pre-public-launch — case stories below are anonymized by request, with metrics validated against our project hub.

Industries

The eight industries FabDigit was designed for.

We didn’t build a generic procurement tool. The workspace, supplier panel, material catalog, and quality chain are tuned for these eight verticals from day one.

  • Aerospace
AS9100D supplier chain, FAI on every first article, ITAR project scope when needed.
  • Medical devices
ISO 13485 supplier track, biocompatible material catalog, full traceability per lot.
  • Robotics
Iterate fast: instant quotes, 3-day lead times on prototypes, hold tolerances at scale.
  • EV / Battery
Sheet metal at production volume, urethane for battery housings, full quality trail.
  • Industrial automation
Manifolds, fixtures, custom enclosures — CNC and sheet metal under one workspace.
  • Defense
ITAR-aware project scope, US-person supplier panel, audit log per access event.
  • Consumer hardware
Quote prototypes today, scale to soft-tool production tomorrow — same workspace.
  • University / research
Free for individual researchers; project hub keeps the lab organized between cohorts.
Case stories

Three early programs. Real metrics. Anonymous by request.

Pre-launch — we’re not pasting up logos we don’t have permission to use. When a customer signs a public reference release, the shape below gets swapped for their name and logo here.

Aerospace startup
A ~40-person aerospace startup designing a sub-orbital propulsion system. Prototyped on FabDigit through 2025–2026.
Challenge

Lead times from their incumbent supplier panel were running 4–6 weeks for first-article CNC turning parts, and quote response was averaging 5 business days — slow enough to slip their internal sprint cadence.

Outcome

Migrated the prototype + low-volume production turning parts to FabDigit. Quote response moved to under one hour for parts the configurator could price directly. Lead time on the first 12 turning parts averaged 9 business days.

  • ~12×
    faster quote turnaround
  • ~3×
    faster lead time vs. incumbent
  • 0
    FAI rejections across the program
Medical devices, mid-market
A mid-market medical-device company with a 200-part library across 3 product lines, running a mix of CNC milling, sheet metal, and urethane casting.
Challenge

Tracking material certs across 5 suppliers required a manual SharePoint folder per supplier per program — and a half-day per month chasing missing certs before each audit cycle.

Outcome

Consolidated the supplier panel onto FabDigit. Material certs auto-attach to the part on receipt, indexed by lot. ISO 13485 audit prep dropped from a half-day to one hour because every cert is one click away from the part it shipped against.

  • ~85%
    less time on audit prep
  • 5 → 1
    supplier portals to log into
  • 100%
    cert-to-lot traceability
Robotics, growth-stage
A growth-stage humanoid robotics company iterating a chassis across 30+ part revisions per month, with a globally distributed engineering team.
Challenge

Quote-by-email + CAD-via-Drive-link workflow meant version drift across 6 suppliers; ~5% of monthly spend was wasted on parts machined against the wrong revision.

Outcome

Moved to FabDigit’s CAD Cloud + project hub. Suppliers always see the latest revision pinned to the project; the revision history is one click from any quote line. Wrong-revision rework dropped to near zero in the first two months.

  • ~5% → 0
    wrong-revision spend
  • 6 → 1
    supplier inboxes to coordinate
  • ~40%
    less PM overhead per sprint
Customer shapes

From the individual engineer to the ITAR program lead.

  • Individual engineers

You’re designing a part this afternoon and you need a real price + lead time before standup tomorrow. Free workspace, instant quote, one-click order.

Best fit: design engineers, mechE consultants, makers, grad students.
  • Hardware teams

You’re 5–50 engineers iterating a product, coordinating across 3–10 suppliers, and tired of CC-chain emails. Team plan gives you one CAD library, one project hub, one supplier inbox.

Best fit: startup-to-mid-market hardware teams, automation builders, robotics teams.
  • Enterprise programs

You’re running an ITAR or AS9100 program with auditors on speed-dial. Enterprise tier adds SSO, audit log, ITAR project scope, dedicated CSM, and a custom MSA.

Best fit: aerospace primes, medical-device manufacturers, defense suppliers.
