P195TR2 tempers and conditions
P195TR2 is supplied in 5 conditions, soft to hard. +N is the default FabDigit quotes; the values on this page are for it.
Compare all 5 conditionsHide
| Condition · open for datasheet | Best for | Yield MPa | Tensile MPa | Elong. % | Hardness | Conductivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Annealed | Softest condition, used when heavy cold bending, flaring or further tube forming is planned before final normalizing. | 210 | 340 | 36 | 105 HB | 10.8 % IACS |
+NDefault Normalized | Default stock condition for pressure tubing: uniform fine-grain ferrite-pearlite giving guaranteed +20 °C impact energy and full weldability. | 235 | 370 | 32 | 115 HB | — |
Hot rolled | Hot-finished tube supplied as rolled when the mill can demonstrate the normalized-condition properties; slightly coarser, more scattered properties than +N. | 240 | 380 | 30 | 120 HB | 10.5 % IACS |
Stress relieved | Cold-drawn tube given a sub-critical stress relief: keeps close tolerances and a good surface while restoring most ductility and impact toughness. | 280 | 400 | 24 | 130 HB | 10.5 % IACS |
Cold drawn | Choose for precision hydraulic/mechanical tubing where higher strength and tight dimensions matter more than impact toughness; not the pressure-code delivery condition. | 390 | 470 | 12 | 150 HB | 10.3 % IACS |

Working with P195TR2
Is P195TR2 easy to machine?
Soft and gummy — use sharp positive-rake tooling, higher speeds and good coolant to avoid built-up edge; rating ≈70% of AISI 1212.
Can P195TR2 be welded?
Excellent weldability by TIG/MIG/SMAW/resistance methods with CEV ≈0.30; no preheat needed below ~20 mm, ER70S-2/-6 or E7018 consumables.
Can P195TR2 be formed, bent or molded?
Very good cold formability — tube bending, flaring, expanding and flattening per EN 10216-1 are routine in +N or +A condition; normalize after heavy cold work.
