| Condition · open for datasheet | Best for | Yield MPa | Tensile MPa | Elong. % | Hardness | Conductivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

What is E110C-K3?
E110C-K3 is a Ni-Cr-Mo composite flux-cored/metal-cored electrode giving roughly 110 ksi tensile weld metal: 810 MPa tensile, 720 MPa yield, 19 % elongation and about 250 HB (24 HRC) as welded, with service to 400 °C. It is chosen for the higher-strength quenched-and-tempered steels such as HY-100 in ship, pressure and heavy-structure work, and is supplied as spooled tubular wire for gas-shielded welding (AW, AW-CO2 and PWHT conditions on file). It demands strict low-hydrogen practice, preheat and interpass and heat-input limits to protect HAZ toughness; where base-metal strength is lower, E100C-K3 is the easier choice. E110C-K3 has a density of 7.8 g/cm³ (0.282 lb/in³), lighter than 87% of steel grades. It melts at 1,460°C (2,660 °F). E110C-K3 has a yield strength of 720 MPa (104 ksi) and a tensile strength of 810 MPa (117 ksi) — stronger than 82% of steel grades. Elongation at break is 19% and the elastic modulus is 205 GPa (29.7 Msi).

Working with E110C-K3
Is E110C-K3 easy to machine?
As-welded deposit is ~24 HRC; machine with carbide at moderate speed or stress-relieve first to ease cutting and reduce distortion.
Can E110C-K3 be welded?
DCEP, gas-shielded metal-cored (75-80 % Ar / bal CO₂ preferred); keep hydrogen low, preheat/interpass per the Q&T base metal (typically 50–150 °C, interpass ≤200 °C) and cap heat input to protect HAZ toughness.
Can E110C-K3 be formed, bent or molded?
Not a wrought product — the wire is drawn and formed by the maker; the deposit itself has limited cold formability at 760 MPa yield.
