What is E110C-K4?

E110C-K4 is a Ni-Cr-Mo alloyed composite (flux/metal-cored) electrode from the AWS low-alloy steel filler family, depositing roughly 110 ksi weld metal — 745 MPa yield, 830 MPa tensile, 19 % elongation. Engineers select it for joining and repairing quenched-and-tempered high-strength plate where low-temperature notch toughness is required; it is supplied as spooled cored wire for gas-shielded GMAW/FCAW in as-welded (AW) or PWHT condition. The deposit runs about 255 HB (25 HRC), is limited to roughly 400 °C service, rusts like carbon steel and demands strict low-hydrogen practice. E120C-K4 is the next strength step in the same family. E110C-K4 has a density of 7.83 g/cm³ (0.283 lb/in³), lighter than 80% of steel grades. It melts at 1,450°C (2,642 °F). E110C-K4 has a yield strength of 745 MPa (108 ksi) and a tensile strength of 830 MPa (120 ksi) — stronger than 83% of steel grades. Elongation at break is 19% and the elastic modulus is 205 GPa (29.7 Msi).
