Grade 1-O is Grade 1 in the O temper — standard stocked condition: maximum ductility for deep drawing, tube expanding and explosive cladding. Grade 1-O has a yield strength of 220 MPa (31.9 ksi) and a tensile strength of 300 MPa (43.5 ksi) — weaker than 97% of titanium grades. Elongation at break is 30% and the elastic modulus is 103 GPa (14.9 Msi). Grade 1-O has a density of 4.51 g/cm³ (0.163 lb/in³), heavier than 57% of titanium grades. It melts at 1,670°C (3,038 °F).

Is Grade 1 easy to machine?

Machine at low surface speed with high feed, sharp uncoated-carbide or PVD tools, rigid setup and flood coolant; never dwell in the cut and control fine chips (fire risk).

Can Grade 1 be welded?
