What is C19410?
C19410 is a zinc-modified variant of the C19400 iron-bearing copper strip family, with composition adjusted for improved solderability while keeping useful stamping strength. It is used for high-volume progressive-die work such as lead frames and connector contacts, and is supplied as cold-rolled strip and coil in tempers O60 through H10 plus H04-SR. The default temper gives 370 MPa yield, 415 MPa tensile and 8 % elongation at 62 % IACS, so it trades conductivity against C19210. Service is limited to about 200 °C and cold-worked tempers soften if fusion welded. C19410 has a density of 8.91 g/cm³ (0.322 lb/in³), heavier than 80% of copper alloy grades. It melts at 1,085°C (1,985 °F). C19410 has a yield strength of 370 MPa (53.7 ksi) and a tensile strength of 415 MPa (60.2 ksi) — stronger than 75% of copper alloy grades. Elongation at break is 8% and the elastic modulus is 121 GPa (17.5 Msi).

Working with C19410
Is C19410 easy to machine?
Poor chip-breaking, gummy like most high-copper alloys (≈20 % of free-cutting brass) — use sharp positive-rake tools, high speed, flood coolant; prefer stamping/etching over milling.
Can C19410 be welded?
Resistance and laser welding are practical on thin strip; fusion welding with filler is rarely used because heat softens the cold-worked temper — soldering and brazing are the normal joining routes.
Can C19410 be formed, bent or molded?
Excellent progressive-die stamping stock; specify H01/H02 for 90° bends across the rolling direction and H06–H10 only for shallow forms, allowing for springback.

What surface finishes work on C19410?
Not anodizable; standard finishes are hot-dip/reflow tin, matte tin, nickel underplate with Ag/Au flash for contacts, and it can be bright-rolled or chemically brightened.
