Compare all 10 conditionsHide
| Condition · open for datasheet | Best for | Yield MPa | Tensile MPa | Elong. % | Hardness | Conductivity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Soft annealed | Pick for maximum ductility: deep drawing, bending, tube expanding and coining before any strengthening cold work. | 85 | 260 | 40 | 50 HB | 62 % IACS |
Light annealed | Use when good formability is needed but slightly higher strength and better handling stiffness than fully soft material is wanted. | 105 | 275 | 38 | 58 HB | 61 % IACS |
H55Default Light drawn | Standard condenser/heat-exchanger tube condition: enough strength and straightness for tube-sheet rolling while still expandable and bendable. | 235 | 305 | 20 | 80 HB | 60 % IACS |
Quarter hard | Balanced strip temper for parts still needing 90° bends and moderate forming with better spring-back control than annealed. | 265 | 305 | 12 | 85 HB | 60 % IACS |
Half hard | Most common strip temper for stamped terminals, lead frames and radiator fins needing strength plus limited bending. | 300 | 335 | 8 | 95 HB | 59 % IACS |

Working with C19200
Is C19200 easy to machine?
Gummy like pure copper (≈20 % of free-cutting brass) — use sharp positive-rake tools, high speed, generous coolant and chip breaking; harder tempers cut cleaner.
Can C19200 be welded?
Good with resistance and GTAW/GMAW using phosphor-bronze or Cu filler; soldering and brazing are excellent, but weld heat destroys cold-work strength locally.
Can C19200 be formed, bent or molded?
Excellent cold formability in O60/O50 and H01 (deep drawing, tube expanding, fin rolling); interstage anneal at 400–550 °C, and expect springback plus limited bend radii above H04.
C19200 chemical composition (wt %)
Limits by weight percent from the governing specification, written the way the spec states them — a single maximum for impurities, a range for alloying elements, and the base element as balance. Nominal is the typical mid-range value.
| Element | Spec limit (wt %) | Nominal |
|---|---|---|
| Fe | 0.8 – 1.2 | 1 |
| P | 0.01 – 0.04 | 0.03 |
| Zn | ≤ 0.2 | |
| Pbmax (typical producer limit) | ≤ 0.05 | |
| CuCu + Ag ≥ 98.5 %, remainder | ≥ 98.5 (balance) |
What surface finishes work on C19200?
Not anodizable; tin, nickel, silver or gold plate for solderability/contacts, or apply benzotriazole/lacquer to control tarnish; takes a bright buffed finish.
