What is CuAg0.10?
CuAg0.10 (CR013A) is the highest-silver tough-pitch copper in this EN series, giving the best resistance to softening at elevated temperature among the CuAg tough-pitch grades while holding 100 % IACS conductivity. It is supplied in drawn R-tempers from R200 to R360; in the default condition it provides 275 MPa tensile, 200 MPa yield, 15 % elongation and 76 HB, with service to 250 °C. As a tough-pitch grade it prefers resistance welding, brazing or soldering over TIG/MIG, and machinability is low (~20 % of AISI 1212); CuAg0.04P is the deoxidised choice when welding is unavoidable. CuAg0.10 has a density of 8.9 g/cm³ (0.322 lb/in³), heavier than 77% of copper alloy grades. It melts at 1,065°C (1,949 °F). CuAg0.10 has a yield strength of 200 MPa (29 ksi) and a tensile strength of 275 MPa (39.9 ksi) — weaker than 54% of copper alloy grades. Elongation at break is 15% and the elastic modulus is 122 GPa (17.7 Msi).

Working with CuAg0.10
Is CuAg0.10 easy to machine?
Gummy and low-rated (~20 % of AISI 1212): use sharp positive-rake tools, high speed, generous soluble-oil coolant and avoid dwell; drawn tempers machine better than annealed.
Can CuAg0.10 be welded?
Tough-pitch grade — prefer resistance, brazing or soldering; TIG/MIG needs high heat input and produces oxide/hydrogen embrittlement risk, so use deoxidised filler and avoid reducing atmospheres above ~400 °C.
Can CuAg0.10 be formed, bent or molded?
Excellent cold formability in R200/R220 (bending, deep drawing, upsetting); interanneal 400–500 °C for heavy reductions, hot working 750–950 °C.
