Copper Alloy C19100
UNS C19100
C19100 is a copper alloyed with nickel and tellurium: the tellurium gives free-cutting behaviour while the nickel provides age-hardening strength, so the alloy machines well and still holds 45 % IACS and 180 W/m·K.

What is C19100?
C19100 is a copper alloyed with nickel and tellurium: the tellurium gives free-cutting behaviour while the nickel provides age-hardening strength, so the alloy machines well and still holds 45 % IACS and 180 W/m·K. Default properties are 400 MPa yield, 470 MPa tensile, 15 % elongation and 140 HB (75 HRB), with a maximum service temperature of 300 °C — the highest in this lightly alloyed copper group. It is stocked as rod and bar in TF00, M10, M11, HR01, OS050, H02, H04 and TH04 for screw-machine work. Fusion welding is restricted by tellurium hot cracking and formability rates only 40; C14500 tellurium copper is the alternative when strength is less important than conductivity. C19100 has a density of 8.86 g/cm³ (0.32 lb/in³), heavier than 68% of copper alloy grades. It melts at 1,035°C (1,895 °F). C19100 has a yield strength of 400 MPa (58 ksi) and a tensile strength of 470 MPa (68.2 ksi) — stronger than 80% of copper alloy grades. Elongation at break is 15% and the elastic modulus is 121 GPa (17.5 Msi).

Working with C19100
Is C19100 easy to machine?
Excellent free-cutting behaviour (~80 % of free-cutting brass): use sharp positive-rake carbide or HSS tools, high speed, light feeds and soluble-oil coolant; tellurium gives short chips without lead.
Can C19100 be welded?
Fusion welding is generally avoided — tellurium promotes hot cracking; join by silver brazing, soldering or resistance/friction welding, or use mechanical fastening.
Can C19100 be formed, bent or molded?
Hot forge/extrude at about 750–875 °C then air cool (M10) or quench (M11); cold bending and heading are best done in the quenched or annealed state, followed by 425–500 °C ageing for strength.

What surface finishes work on C19100?
Not anodisable; readily electroplated with Ni, Ag or Sn after cyanide-free acid activation, and takes a bright mechanical polish. Tellurium-bearing turnings should be segregated for recycling.
Surface treatments FabDigit runs on copper alloy parts — pick them in the quote configurator or call them out on the drawing. Each links to its datasheet in the surface-finish library (thickness, specs, call-out, material verdicts).
How much does C19100 cost?
C19100 is a high-cost copper alloy ($$$$), pricier than about 78% of the materials FabDigit quotes. Part price depends far more on geometry, tolerance and quantity than on the raw stock — upload a CAD file for a live quote.
