What is ENiCrMo-14?
ENiCrMo-14 is the covered manual-arc electrode counterpart to ERNiCrMo-14 wire (UNS W86686), used for welding superalloy equipment in extreme chloride and acid service. As-welded deposits give roughly 490 MPa yield, 780 MPa tensile, 40 % elongation and 92 HRB, with a corrosion rating of 96 and service to 400 °C; PWHT is normally not required. The deposit work-hardens strongly and is slow to machine, and consumable cost is high. ENiCrMo-13 covers similar duty where Alloy 59 chemistry is specified. ENiCrMo-14 has a density of 8.73 g/cm³ (0.315 lb/in³), heavier than 77% of nickel alloy grades. It melts at 1,338°C (2,440 °F). ENiCrMo-14 has a yield strength of 490 MPa (71.1 ksi) and a tensile strength of 780 MPa (113 ksi) — stronger than 71% of nickel alloy grades. Elongation at break is 40% and the elastic modulus is 205 GPa (29.7 Msi).

Working with ENiCrMo-14
Is ENiCrMo-14 easy to machine?
Deposit work-hardens strongly — use sharp carbide, heavy positive rake, low speed / high feed, rigid setup and flood coolant; grinding of weld caps needs non-ferrous wheels.
Can ENiCrMo-14 be welded?
SMAW DCEP, stringer beads, low heat input (<1.5 kJ/mm) and interpass ≤150 °C; redry electrodes ~250–300 °C, clean between passes, no PWHT normally required.
Can ENiCrMo-14 be formed, bent or molded?
Not a wrought product form; deposits are ductile and can tolerate weld-repair and light peening but should not be cold-worked heavily.
