What is MED610?
MED610 is a rigid, transparent acrylic-based PolyJet photopolymer certified for short-term skin and mucosal contact and validated for EtO and gamma sterilization. Engineers specify it for clear, dimensionally accurate patient-contact models built directly on Objet30 Prime/Dental, J5 MediJet and Connex systems, in glossy or matte finish; default values are 57 MPa tensile strength, 17% elongation and Shore D 84. The resin softens above roughly 50 °C, so steam autoclaving is ruled out, and prolonged UV exposure yellows it. VeroClear is the nearest clear PolyJet grade where biocompatibility is not required. MED610 has a density of 1.18 g/cm³ (0.0424 lb/in³), lighter than 52% of polymer grades. Its glass-transition temperature is 53°C (127 °F). MED610 has a tensile strength of 57 MPa (8.27 ksi), stronger than 65% of polymer grades. Elongation at break is 17% and the elastic modulus is 2.5 GPa (0.363 Msi).
What is MED610 used for?
- surgical guides
- dental models

Advantages
- Polishes to a fine finish — 70/100, better than 77% of polymer grades

Working with MED610
Is MED610 easy to machine?
Light drilling, trimming and thread-tapping are possible with sharp tools and low feed; keep parts cool since heat above ~50 °C softens and distorts them.
Can MED610 be welded?
Not weldable by heat; join with cyanoacrylate or UV-cure acrylic adhesive, using only biocompatible adhesives on patient-contact parts.
Can MED610 be formed, bent or molded?
Not moldable — parts are built directly on PolyJet machines (Objet30 Prime/Dental, J5 MediJet, Connex); orient critical features away from support to control clarity and accuracy.

What surface finishes work on MED610?
Remove support by waterjet/NaOH-free medical cleaning cycle, then wet-sand and acrylic-polish for transparency; sterilize by EtO or gamma — avoid steam autoclave and prolonged UV exposure.
