What is TangoPlus?
TangoPlus (FLX930) is a legacy transparent, flexible rubber-like PolyJet photopolymer, available on its own or as digital-material blends (FLX9840-DM through FLX9895-DM) for graded hardness. It was used for clear soft parts such as tubing and lens mockups, with default values of 1.2 MPa tensile strength and 200% elongation. Clarity is limited — parts stay slightly hazy after support removal, the surface is tacky and unpaintable, and UV exposure yellows the resin. Agilus30 Clear replaced it for new programmes. TangoPlus has a density of 1.14 g/cm³ (0.0412 lb/in³), lighter than 60% of polymer grades. TangoPlus has a tensile strength of 1 MPa (0.174 ksi), weaker than 85% of polymer grades. Elongation at break is 200% and the elastic modulus is 0 GPa (1.45×10⁻⁴ Msi).
What is TangoPlus used for?
- transparent flexible prototypes
- medical tubing mockups
- soft lens simulations
Advantages
- Forms and bends easily — 90/100, better than 91% of polymer grades
- Ductile — tolerates forming and impact — 200%, better than 76% of polymer grades
Limitations
- Difficult to machine — 15/100, worse than 99% of polymer grades
- Low stiffness — 0 GPa (1.45×10⁻⁴ Msi), worse than 98% of polymer grades
- Limited service temperature — 48°C (118 °F), worse than 96% of polymer grades
- Degrades in UV without stabilisers — 15/100, worse than 95% of polymer grades
- Hard to polish — 25/100, worse than 90% of polymer grades

Working with TangoPlus
Is TangoPlus easy to machine?
Do not machine — soft tacky elastomer; trim gates and flash with a sharp blade or scissors and remove support gel by waterjet plus caustic soak.
Can TangoPlus be welded?
Not weldable; join with cyanoacrylate or silicone adhesive, or print flexible and rigid regions in one job as a digital material.
Can TangoPlus be formed, bent or molded?
Printed only by PolyJet jetting at ~30–35 µm layers; keep wall thickness ≥1 mm for handling and orient tensile axis in-plane, since Z-direction interfaces are the weakest.

What surface finishes work on TangoPlus?
Clear parts stay slightly hazy after support removal; a thin clear UV or acrylic conformal coat improves transparency and slows yellowing, but paint and plating do not adhere well.

How much does TangoPlus cost?
TangoPlus is a high-cost polymer ($$$$), pricier than about 78% of the materials FabDigit quotes. Part price depends far more on geometry, tolerance and quantity than on the raw stock — upload a CAD file for a live quote.
TangoPlus — frequently asked
What is TangoPlus used for?
TangoPlus is typically used for transparent flexible prototypes, medical tubing mockups and soft lens simulations. In short: legacy clear flexible resin; replaced by Agilus30 Clear; highest elongation in family.
What is the tensile strength of TangoPlus?
TangoPlus has a typical tensile strength of 1 MPa (0.174 ksi) — weaker than 85% of polymer grades. Strength varies by condition: see the 7 listed tempers.
Is TangoPlus easy to machine?
Not especially — machinability is rated poor (15/100, worse than 99% of polymer grades).
