What is VisiJet M2 ENT?

VisiJet M2 ENT is a castable UV-cured photopolymer for 3D Systems MultiJet Printing, formulated for clean, low-ash burnout in jewellery and dental investment casting workflows. It prints fine detail with meltable wax support and is supplied as-printed or UV post-cured (UV-PC), with 42 MPa tensile strength, 10% elongation, Shore D 80 hardness and 1.5 GPa modulus. The material is brittle, softens with frictional heat and, as a crosslinked thermoset, cannot be welded, so it is a pattern material rather than a functional part material. For rigid clear display models on the same platform, use VisiJet M3 Crystal. VisiJet M2 ENT has a density of 1.16 g/cm³ (0.0419 lb/in³), lighter than 55% of polymer grades. Its glass-transition temperature is 58°C (136 °F). VisiJet M2 ENT has a yield strength of 36 MPa (5.22 ksi) and a tensile strength of 42 MPa (6.09 ksi) — weaker than 65% of polymer grades. Elongation at break is 10% and the elastic modulus is 1.5 GPa (0.218 Msi).

What is VisiJet M2 ENT used for?

  • jewelry casting patterns
  • dental casting patterns
  • lost-wax investment casting

Working with VisiJet M2 ENT

Is VisiJet M2 ENT easy to machine?

Low-speed drilling, milling and trimming are possible with sharp tools and light feed; the material is brittle and softens as heat builds up.

Can VisiJet M2 ENT be welded?

Thermoplastic welding does not apply (crosslinked thermoset); assemble with cyanoacrylate or UV-cure adhesive and mechanical snap features.

Can VisiJet M2 ENT be formed, bent or molded?

Formed only by MJP material jetting; wax support is melted out with heat and then ultrasonically cleaned, so support thin-wall patterns carefully during dewaxing to avoid distortion.

What surface finishes work on VisiJet M2 ENT?

The as-printed surface is already smooth and accepts light sanding or polishing, spray paint or clear lacquer; a UV-blocking topcoat is recommended to slow yellowing.

How much does VisiJet M2 ENT cost?

VisiJet M2 ENT is a high-cost polymer ($$$$), pricier than about 78% of the materials FabDigit quotes. Part price depends far more on geometry, tolerance and quantity than on the raw stock — upload a CAD file for a live quote.
