What is NiCo20Cr20MoTi?
NiCo20Cr20MoTi (2.4650) is a precipitation-hardened Ni-Co-Cr superalloy with molybdenum and titanium additions, developed for high strength and creep resistance in aerospace turbine hardware. Its low Al+Ti level makes it one of the better-weldable γ′ alloys, so it suits fabricated hot-section sheet and ring assemblies; forms include sheet, plate, bar and forgings in solution-treated, aged, hot-rolled and cold-drawn conditions. Limits are a 800 °C maximum service temperature and low machinability (score 20), with all welding done before ageing. Alloy 718 is the lower-cost choice below 650 °C. NiCo20Cr20MoTi has a density of 8.36 g/cm³ (0.302 lb/in³), heavier than 54% of nickel alloy grades. It melts at 1,300°C (2,372 °F). NiCo20Cr20MoTi has a yield strength of 540 MPa (78.3 ksi) and a tensile strength of 880 MPa (128 ksi) — stronger than 78% of nickel alloy grades. Elongation at break is 42% and the elastic modulus is 221 GPa (32.1 Msi).

Working with NiCo20Cr20MoTi
Is NiCo20Cr20MoTi easy to machine?
Machine in the solution-treated condition where possible: rigid setups, positive-rake carbide or ceramic tooling, low speed and heavy constant feed, flood coolant — work-hardens fast and burns tool edges like other γ′ superalloys.
Can NiCo20Cr20MoTi be welded?
One of the better-weldable γ′ alloys thanks to low Al+Ti — GTAW/EBW/laser with matching 263 or Haynes 263 filler in the solution-treated state, then post-weld solution treat and age; avoid welding in the aged condition.
Can NiCo20Cr20MoTi be formed, bent or molded?
Cold form sheet in the solution-treated condition with generous radii and interstage anneals at ~1150 °C/WQ; hot work 1180–1000 °C, always re-solution treat before ageing.
