Aluminum A1N00-H22 vs A1N00-H26
Aluminum · A1N00 temper comparison
A1N00-H22 and A1N00-H26 are two conditions of the same aluminum grade, A1N00: H22 (strain hardened and partially annealed, quarter hard) versus H26 (strain hardened and partially annealed, three-quarter hard). The chemistry is identical, so every difference below comes from the condition. A1N00-H26 is the stronger of the two: yield strength 125 MPa (18.1 ksi) against 85 MPa (12.3 ksi) for A1N00-H22, about 47% more; tensile strength follows at 145 MPa (21 ksi) vs 110 MPa (16 ksi). In exchange, A1N00-H22 is the more ductile: elongation 16% versus 8% for A1N00-H26, and A1N00-H26 is harder (38 HB vs 28 HB). A1N00-H22 runs hotter in service (150°C vs 130°C continuous).
A1N00-H22Choose it when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat.
A1N00-H26Choose it when strength drives the design.
A1N00-H22 vs A1N00-H26: propertiesHow to read these bars
- One bar per material. A full bar is the highest value among all aluminum grades in the FabDigit library; each bar is drawn as a share of that.
- The better value (by the usual engineering direction) is in bold. Rows with no direction — density, thermal conductivity — have no bold.
- Values are typical room-temperature figures for the condition named on each card.
- Confirm against the certified mill or resin datasheet before design release.

A1N00-H22 vs A1N00-H26 — frequently asked
Is A1N00-H26 stronger than A1N00-H22?
Yes. A1N00-H26 has a typical yield strength of 125 MPa (18.1 ksi) against 85 MPa (12.3 ksi) for A1N00-H22 — about 47% more. Tensile strength is 145 MPa (21 ksi) vs 110 MPa (16 ksi).
Which condition does FabDigit quote by default, H22 or H26?
O is the default A1N00 condition in the FabDigit quote flow (neither H22 nor H26). The other condition is available on request or by drawing note — specify it in the material field or the part notes and the quote is priced for it.
When should I choose A1N00-H22 over A1N00-H26?
Pick A1N00-H22 when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat. Pick A1N00-H26 when strength drives the design.
