Copper Alloy C24000-H02 vs C24000-H03
Copper Alloy · C24000 temper comparison
C24000-H02 and C24000-H03 are two conditions of the same copper alloy grade, C24000: H02 (half hard) versus H03 (three-quarter hard). The chemistry is identical, so every difference below comes from the condition. C24000-H03 is the stronger of the two: yield strength 380 MPa (55.1 ksi) against 310 MPa (45 ksi) for C24000-H02, about 23% more; tensile strength follows at 450 MPa (65.3 ksi) vs 395 MPa (57.3 ksi). In exchange, C24000-H02 is the more ductile: elongation 30% versus 15% for C24000-H03, and C24000-H03 is harder (135 HB vs 120 HB). C24000-H02 runs hotter in service (175°C vs 150°C continuous).
C24000-H02Choose it when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat.
C24000-H03Choose it when strength drives the design.
C24000-H02 vs C24000-H03: propertiesHow to read these bars
- One bar per material. A full bar is the highest value among all copper alloy grades in the FabDigit library; each bar is drawn as a share of that.
- The better value (by the usual engineering direction) is in bold. Rows with no direction — density, thermal conductivity — have no bold.
- Values are typical room-temperature figures for the condition named on each card.
- Confirm against the certified mill or resin datasheet before design release.

C24000-H02 vs C24000-H03 — frequently asked
Is C24000-H03 stronger than C24000-H02?
Yes. C24000-H03 has a typical yield strength of 380 MPa (55.1 ksi) against 310 MPa (45 ksi) for C24000-H02 — about 23% more. Tensile strength is 450 MPa (65.3 ksi) vs 395 MPa (57.3 ksi).
Which condition does FabDigit quote by default, H02 or H03?
OS050 is the default C24000 condition in the FabDigit quote flow (neither H02 nor H03). The other condition is available on request or by drawing note — specify it in the material field or the part notes and the quote is priced for it.
When should I choose C24000-H02 over C24000-H03?
Pick C24000-H02 when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat. Pick C24000-H03 when strength drives the design.
