Copper Alloy C12500-H01 vs C12500-H02
Copper Alloy · C12500 temper comparison
C12500-H01 and C12500-H02 are two conditions of the same copper alloy grade, C12500: H01 (quarter hard) versus H02 (half hard). The chemistry is identical, so every difference below comes from the condition. C12500-H02 is the stronger of the two: yield strength 250 MPa (36.3 ksi) against 205 MPa (29.7 ksi) for C12500-H01, about 22% more; tensile strength follows at 290 MPa (42.1 ksi) vs 265 MPa (38.4 ksi). In exchange, C12500-H01 is the more ductile: elongation 25% versus 14% for C12500-H02, and C12500-H02 is harder (82 HB vs 70 HB). C12500-H01 runs hotter in service (175°C vs 150°C continuous).
C12500-H01Choose it when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat.

C12500-H01 vs C12500-H02: propertiesHow to read these bars
- One bar per material. A full bar is the highest value among all copper alloy grades in the FabDigit library; each bar is drawn as a share of that.
- The better value (by the usual engineering direction) is in bold. Rows with no direction — density, thermal conductivity — have no bold.
- Values are typical room-temperature figures for the condition named on each card.
- Confirm against the certified mill or resin datasheet before design release.

C12500-H01 vs C12500-H02 — frequently asked
Is C12500-H02 stronger than C12500-H01?
Yes. C12500-H02 has a typical yield strength of 250 MPa (36.3 ksi) against 205 MPa (29.7 ksi) for C12500-H01 — about 22% more. Tensile strength is 290 MPa (42.1 ksi) vs 265 MPa (38.4 ksi).
Which condition does FabDigit quote by default, H01 or H02?
H04 is the default C12500 condition in the FabDigit quote flow (neither H01 nor H02). The other condition is available on request or by drawing note — specify it in the material field or the part notes and the quote is priced for it.
When should I choose C12500-H01 over C12500-H02?
Pick C12500-H01 when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat. Pick C12500-H02 when strength drives the design.
