What is an STL file?
STL represents a 3D model as triangles. It is the standard input format for most 3D-printing software.
STL has no standard unit field or exact CAD surfaces. Use STEP for machining.

ASCII or binary STL?
Both are supported. Binary STL is usually smaller and faster.
My part looks tiny or huge. Why?
