What is ABS-Like RIGID?
ABS-Like RIGID is ABS-Like in the RIGID grade — choose for stiff, dimensionally stable jigs, fixtures and thin ribs where deflection matters more than toughness. ABS-Like RIGID has a yield strength of 45 MPa (6.53 ksi) and a tensile strength of 62 MPa (8.99 ksi) — weaker than 65% of polyurethane grades. Working with ABS-Like RIGID
Is ABS-Like easy to machine?
Drills, taps and sands easily with sharp tools and low heat, but is notch-sensitive — pre-drill pilot holes, use light feeds and avoid clamping thin cured sections.
Can ABS-Like be welded?
Thermoset — cannot be heat welded; join with cyanoacrylate, epoxy or a drop of the same UV resin cured with a 405 nm lamp.
Can ABS-Like be formed, bent or molded?
Printed on 385/405 nm SLA/DLP/LCD at 25–35 °C vat temperature, then IPA-washed and UV/heat post-cured (typically 5–30 min at 40–60 °C) to reach datasheet strength; design 2 mm minimum walls and add drain holes for hollow parts.
What surface finishes work on ABS-Like?
Sands from 400 to 2000 grit and takes primer, spray paint, vacuum metallizing or electroplating well; always prime or clear-coat with UV blocker since bare parts yellow and embrittle in sunlight.

ABS-Like RIGID — frequently asked
What is ABS-Like RIGID used for?
ABS-Like RIGID is typically used for consumer housings, drop-test prototypes, appearance and cosmetic models, assembly fit-check parts, covers and bezels and control-panel prototypes. In short: tough and impact-resistant; mirrors molded ABS.
What is the yield strength of ABS-Like RIGID?
ABS-Like RIGID has a typical yield strength of 45 MPa (6.53 ksi) and a tensile strength of 62 MPa (8.99 ksi) — weaker than 65% of polyurethane grades. Strength varies by condition: see the 7 listed tempers.
Is ABS-Like RIGID easy to machine?
Not especially — machinability is rated fair (40/100, worse than 78% of polyurethane grades). Drills, taps and sands easily with sharp tools and low heat, but is notch-sensitive — pre-drill pilot holes, use light feeds and avoid clamping thin cured sections.
Can ABS-Like RIGID be welded?
Not readily — weldability is rated not recommended (5/100). Thermoset — cannot be heat welded; join with cyanoacrylate, epoxy or a drop of the same UV resin cured with a 405 nm lamp.
What surface finishes work on ABS-Like RIGID?
Sands from 400 to 2000 grit and takes primer, spray paint, vacuum metallizing or electroplating well; always prime or clear-coat with UV blocker since bare parts yellow and embrittle in sunlight.

What is the maximum service temperature of ABS-Like RIGID?
ABS-Like RIGID is rated for continuous use to about 85°C (185 °F), and briefly to 75°C. Strength falls off well before that limit — check the elevated-temperature data for load-bearing parts.
What is the difference between ABS-Like-STD and ABS-Like Tough?
STD is the default condition — default choice for appearance models, fit-check parts and general functional prototypes at room temperature. Tough: pick when snap-fits, clips, thin walls or drop-test parts need real ductility instead of brittle fracture. Yield strength is 45 MPa in STD versus 40 MPa in Tough.
