Laperos GF30 vs Laperos LD-RF
Polymer · Laperos grade comparison
Laperos GF30 and Laperos LD-RF are two grades of the same polymer grade, Laperos: GF30 (30% glass-fiber reinforced) versus LD-RF (low-dielectric / high-frequency grade). The chemistry is identical, so every difference below comes from the condition. Laperos GF30 is the stronger of the two: tensile strength 165 MPa (23.9 ksi) against 150 MPa (21.8 ksi) for Laperos LD-RF, about 10% more. Laperos GF30 is the more ductile: elongation 2.5% versus 2% for Laperos LD-RF. Laperos LD-RF is lighter (1.55 g/cm³ vs 1.61 g/cm³ for Laperos GF30) and Laperos GF30 is stiffer (14 GPa vs 12 GPa).
Laperos GF30Choose it when strength drives the design, or when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded.
Laperos LD-RFChoose it when weight is the constraint.
Laperos GF30 vs Laperos LD-RF: propertiesHow to read these bars
- One bar per material. A full bar is the highest value among all polymer grades in the FabDigit library; each bar is drawn as a share of that.
- The better value (by the usual engineering direction) is in bold. Rows with no direction — density, thermal conductivity — have no bold.
- Values are typical room-temperature figures for the condition named on each card.
- Confirm against the certified mill or resin datasheet before design release.

Laperos GF30 vs Laperos LD-RF — frequently asked
Is Laperos GF30 stronger than Laperos LD-RF?
Yes. Laperos GF30 has a typical tensile strength of 165 MPa (23.9 ksi) against 150 MPa (21.8 ksi) for Laperos LD-RF — about 10% more.
Which grade does FabDigit quote by default, GF30 or LD-RF?
GF30 is the default Laperos condition in the FabDigit quote flow. The other condition is available on request or by drawing note — specify it in the material field or the part notes and the quote is priced for it.
When should I choose Laperos GF30 over Laperos LD-RF?
Pick Laperos GF30 when strength drives the design, or when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded. Pick Laperos LD-RF when weight is the constraint.
Ready to make it?
Upload a CAD file and FabDigit prices the part in Laperos GF30 and Laperos LD-RF side by side — material, machining time, tolerance and finish in one quote. Certified material data ships with the order on request.
Typical handbook values for the conditions named above, normalised for comparison. Hardness on non-Brinell scales is converted approximately for charting only. Request certified data with your order for design-critical properties.
