Copper Alloy Cu-OF1-H01 vs Cu-OF1-H02
Copper Alloy · Cu-OF1 temper comparison
Cu-OF1-H01 and Cu-OF1-H02 are two conditions of the same copper alloy grade, Cu-OF1: H01 (quarter hard) versus H02 (half hard). The chemistry is identical, so every difference below comes from the condition. Cu-OF1-H02 is the stronger of the two: yield strength 230 MPa (33.4 ksi) against 180 MPa (26.1 ksi) for Cu-OF1-H01, about 28% more; tensile strength follows at 300 MPa (43.5 ksi) vs 260 MPa (37.7 ksi). In exchange, Cu-OF1-H01 is the more ductile: elongation 30% versus 20% for Cu-OF1-H02, and Cu-OF1-H02 is harder (85 HB vs 68 HB). Cu-OF1-H01 runs hotter in service (180°C vs 150°C continuous).

Cu-OF1-H01 vs Cu-OF1-H02: propertiesHow to read these bars
- One bar per material. A full bar is the highest value among all copper alloy grades in the FabDigit library; each bar is drawn as a share of that.
- The better value (by the usual engineering direction) is in bold. Rows with no direction — density, thermal conductivity — have no bold.
- Values are typical room-temperature figures for the condition named on each card.
- Confirm against the certified mill or resin datasheet before design release.

Cu-OF1-H01 vs Cu-OF1-H02 — frequently asked
Is Cu-OF1-H02 stronger than Cu-OF1-H01?
Yes. Cu-OF1-H02 has a typical yield strength of 230 MPa (33.4 ksi) against 180 MPa (26.1 ksi) for Cu-OF1-H01 — about 28% more. Tensile strength is 300 MPa (43.5 ksi) vs 260 MPa (37.7 ksi).
Which condition does FabDigit quote by default, H01 or H02?
H04 is the default Cu-OF1 condition in the FabDigit quote flow (neither H01 nor H02). The other condition is available on request or by drawing note — specify it in the material field or the part notes and the quote is priced for it.
When should I choose Cu-OF1-H01 over Cu-OF1-H02?
Pick Cu-OF1-H01 when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat. Pick Cu-OF1-H02 when strength drives the design.
