Copper Alloy C77100-H01 vs C77100-H04
Copper Alloy · C77100 temper comparison
C77100-H01 and C77100-H04 are two conditions of the same copper alloy grade, C77100: H01 (quarter hard) versus H04 (full hard). The chemistry is identical, so every difference below comes from the condition. C77100-H04 is the stronger of the two: yield strength 570 MPa (82.7 ksi) against 380 MPa (55.1 ksi) for C77100-H01, about 50% more; tensile strength follows at 660 MPa (95.7 ksi) vs 500 MPa (72.5 ksi). In exchange, C77100-H01 is the more ductile: elongation 25% versus 6% for C77100-H04, and C77100-H04 is harder (190 HV vs 137 HV). C77100-H01 runs hotter in service (200°C vs 175°C continuous).

C77100-H01 vs C77100-H04: propertiesHow to read these bars
- One bar per material. A full bar is the highest value among all copper alloy grades in the FabDigit library; each bar is drawn as a share of that.
- The better value (by the usual engineering direction) is in bold. Rows with no direction — density, thermal conductivity — have no bold.
- Values are typical room-temperature figures for the condition named on each card.
- Confirm against the certified mill or resin datasheet before design release.

C77100-H01 vs C77100-H04 — frequently asked
Is C77100-H04 stronger than C77100-H01?
Yes. C77100-H04 has a typical yield strength of 570 MPa (82.7 ksi) against 380 MPa (55.1 ksi) for C77100-H01 — about 50% more. Tensile strength is 660 MPa (95.7 ksi) vs 500 MPa (72.5 ksi).
Which condition does FabDigit quote by default, H01 or H04?
O60 is the default C77100 condition in the FabDigit quote flow (neither H01 nor H04). The other condition is available on request or by drawing note — specify it in the material field or the part notes and the quote is priced for it.
Which is easier to machine, C77100-H01 or C77100-H04?
C77100-H04. Its machinability rates fair (36/100) against poor (30/100) for C77100-H01; for welding the order is C77100-H01 first (fair, 52/100) then C77100-H04 (fair, 45/100).
