Copper Alloy C22000-H02 vs C22000-O
Copper Alloy · C22000 temper comparison
C22000-H02 and C22000-O are two conditions of the same copper alloy grade, C22000: H02 (half hard) versus O (annealed). The chemistry is identical, so every difference below comes from the condition. C22000-H02 is the stronger of the two: yield strength 280 MPa (40.6 ksi) against 83 MPa (12 ksi) for C22000-O, about 3.4 times as much; tensile strength follows at 340 MPa (49.3 ksi) vs 275 MPa (39.9 ksi). In exchange, C22000-O is the more ductile: elongation 45% versus 25% for C22000-H02, and C22000-H02 is harder (105 HB vs 48 HB). C22000-O runs hotter in service (200°C vs 150°C continuous).
C22000-H02Choose it when strength drives the design.
C22000-OChoose it when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat.
C22000-H02 vs C22000-O: propertiesHow to read these bars
- One bar per material. A full bar is the highest value among all copper alloy grades in the FabDigit library; each bar is drawn as a share of that.
- The better value (by the usual engineering direction) is in bold. Rows with no direction — density, thermal conductivity — have no bold.
- Values are typical room-temperature figures for the condition named on each card.
- Confirm against the certified mill or resin datasheet before design release.

C22000-H02 vs C22000-O — frequently asked
Is C22000-H02 stronger than C22000-O?
Yes. C22000-H02 has a typical yield strength of 280 MPa (40.6 ksi) against 83 MPa (12 ksi) for C22000-O — about 3.4 times as much. Tensile strength is 340 MPa (49.3 ksi) vs 275 MPa (39.9 ksi).
Which condition does FabDigit quote by default, H02 or O?
O is the default C22000 condition in the FabDigit quote flow. The other condition is available on request or by drawing note — specify it in the material field or the part notes and the quote is priced for it.
When should I choose C22000-H02 over C22000-O?
Pick C22000-H02 when strength drives the design. Pick C22000-O when the part is bent, formed or impact-loaded, or when the part sees heat.
