How to read the numbers
Values are typical, not certified
Every figure is a nominal room-temperature value for the default condition, compiled from supplier and standards handbooks. Use it to shortlist; certify with the mill cert that ships with the order.
Percentiles, not raw numbers, on the radar
The radar plots where a grade sits among all 790 materials on each axis, so a 275 MPa aluminum and a 275 MPa steel land in the same place for strength but very different places for weight and cost.
Hardness is normalised for charting
Rockwell C/B and Vickers are converted to an approximate Brinell number so metals can share one axis. Polymer scales (Shore, Rockwell M/R) stay as listed and are excluded from the hardness axis.
Manufacturability is what the quote engine enforces
Minimum wall, internal radius, bend radius, mold shrinkage and layer height on each datasheet are the same limits FabDigit’s instant quote applies. Design inside them and the part prices immediately.
Need a grade that is not listed, or a certified property for a design calculation? Upload the drawing at fabdigit.com/quote and note the specification — an engineer confirms availability with the quote.
